Special Activities & Workshops

In this hands-on workshop, you will design and create your very own hand-made mini scarf using weaving and crochet techniques. You will choose your colors and textures of yarn to weave long, rectangular panels made on a medium-sized, hand-held loom, that is yours to take home and reuse for future projects. The panels will be taken off the loom and connected with crochet (single or double crochet) to make a fiber art scarf to gift someone special or take home for personal use. All materials to design and finish your very own fiber art scarf will be provided in the kit, including a medium sized hand-held loom, crochet tools and a variety of yarns to build and assemble a personalized scarf design, with enthusiastic guidance and support from both of your instructors, Ellie and Lori. Approximate final mini scarf dimensions are 80 inches Length by 2.5 inches width.

Create a ring with a little movement! Sometimes called a meditation ring or fidget ring, a spinner ring features smaller bands that rotate freely around a wider base band.

In this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to measure, form, solder, texture, and finish sterling silver while creating your own personalized design. Combine smooth and twisted rope bands with your choice of available textures and finishes.

One custom sterling silver spinner ring featuring a wide base band sized to your finger and three to five moving silver bands.

All sterling silver materials, use of professional jewelry-making tools, soldering and finishing supplies, and step-by-step instruction. Leave with a finished ring you designed and made yourself!

Design and create a beautiful sterling silver gemstone pendant in this hands-on metalsmithing workshop! Perfect for beginners, this class introduces essential jewelry-making techniques while guiding you step by step through the process of making a polished, wearable piece.

You’ll create a 17mm sterling silver pendant featuring a 6mm faceted gemstone set in a pre-made tube setting. Add your own texture and finishing touches, then complete your piece so it’s ready to wear on a sterling silver chain.

Explore Clay and mirror art, a contemporary take on a (Lippan) folk art form from India, through a hands-on creative experience.
Participants will learn the basic techniques of working with air-dry clay and decorative mirrors to create a modern Lippan-inspired design on a prepared wooden panel. The workshop combines pattern, texture, shape, and mirror work, allowing each participant to personalize their piece and create something that reflects their own style.
All materials are provided, including a prepared wooden 8inch circle / square board (with sketched folk motifs / mandalas), air-dry clay, decorative mirrors, paint, adhesive, and necessary tools and supplies.
The workshop is designed to be creative, social, and relaxing—an opportunity to discover a cultural art form while making a finished piece to take home.

Introduction to amigurumi. In this hands-on workshop, you will design and crochet your very own 3D Frida Khalo charm. Frida was a renowned Mexican painter celebrated for her powerful self-portraits and activism—and now you can bring her iconic spirit to life through crochet.
The workshop will start with an intro into the crochet amigurumi stitches, tools and techniques, you will then be guided through the process, with an opportunity to work at your own pace to create your personalized charm. One-on-one instruction and support will be available from our amazing teachers Lori & Ellie.
Techniques covered: Basic amigurumi (working in the round, increases, decreases), embroidery on crochet, and assembly.
The crochet kit will include a crochet hook, yarn, embroidery needle, safety eyes, and fiber fill.
